The architecture

The architecture of the frame should draw the observer to the eyes with only the distraction of positive comments of style.

The old rule of thumb of round and square shapes is no longer the only option, with talented frame artisans creating amazing geometrical shapes to invoke passion, interest, and mystery into their designs.

Facial structure

We look at your face as a photographer would look to take the best shot, using the rule of thirds to give us the proportions and ratio, the expression in your brow provides the top line of the frame and the cheekbones to give a contoured profile.

Skin tones

When it comes to the colour palette there is the consideration of your skin tone, lip hue, iris colour as a few constants. Working with frame colour matching to emphasize these tones or reverse it and go full contrast to create a statement that makes things pop.

But when all is said and done, sometimes we do none of these things and get creative, go oversized, introduce oblique angles and random patterns to create a distinctive edge to the look.
